Your brand on card pages

Updated API

Update 2026-10-21: There is no sign-in screen on card pages now. A card link from POST /v1/users/:id/links opens the card page directly, with your logo once Layout approves your application. See What the person sees.

When a person you provisioned needs a card, the link Layout hands you opens Layout's card page. That page now says which application sent them.

What changed

  • The sign-in screen shows your logo beside Layout's, and says your application uses Layout to place their orders.
  • The card screen says your application never sees their card.
  • Once the card is saved, the page tells them to go back to your application to place their order.

The name and logo are the ones on your application's App details page in the console, sandbox or live. Only a logo you uploaded there is shown. The link carries only your application's id, as ?app=lyt_app_…; any other parameter on it is ignored, including the via and back that earlier links carried.

Why it matters

A person who started in your product and lands on a Layout page knows they are still in the right place, and knows where to go when they are done.

What to do

Upload your logo on App details if you have not, and mint a card link when a card is needed. See Card links.

Breaking changes

None. Links you already sent still open the card page; they show Layout's page without your name.
