Card links replace any card
A card link on a full account no longer stops. The person sees the card on file, picks which one to replace when they hold more than one, and enters the new card on the same page.
What changed
- Any card can be replaced. Before, on an account the person signs in to, a card link replaced only a card your own card links added, and otherwise ended on “No room for another card”. Now it can replace any card on the account. The page names that card before anything is typed and asks again before it saves.
- The person is told. When a card link replaces a card your application's card links did not add, Layout emails the person which card was replaced, and by which application.
reason=account_fullis now rare. It comes back only when the account filled up while the page was open. Keep handling it.- A card being paid with is locked. When an order is being paid for with the card the page would replace, the page says so before anything is typed, and going back returns
status=canceled.
Why it matters
A person who already added a card in Layout could not use your card link to change it. Now the link is the one way to change a card from your application.

Nothing. The same POST /v1/users/:id/links call and the same return URLs work as before. See What the person sees.
