# Corrected pickup time zones

October 10, 2026 · API

Some store confirmation pages print the pickup time on the browser's clock rather than the store's. When that clock was in a different time zone, `ready_eta` on `GET /v1/orders/:id` carried the wrong hour: an 8:23 PM pickup in California could read `Ready around 10:23 PM (in 3-6 minutes)`.

Layout now pins the browser to the store's time zone while it orders. When a confirmation still states a time in another zone, and its own countdown proves which zone that was, `ready_eta` keeps the store's wording and corrects only the time: `Ready around 8:23 PM (in 3-6 minutes)`.

## Why it matters

A person reads `ready_eta` to decide when to walk over. A time that is off by hours sends them at the wrong moment, or tells them the order is hours away when it is minutes.

## What to do

Nothing. Keep showing `ready_eta` as written. A time Layout cannot check is passed through exactly as the store stated it.

## Breaking changes

None. The field, its type and when it appears are unchanged.
