# Pickup time on orders

`GET /v1/orders/:id` now returns `ready_eta`: the pickup time as the store's confirmation stated it, such as `Ready by 6:15 PM`. It is there once the order is `placed`, and null before then or when the confirmation named no time.

## Why it matters

A person who just ordered wants to know when to walk over. You can now tell them without asking Layout's app or the store.

## What to do

When you receive `order.placed`, read the order and show `ready_eta` as written. It is not a timestamp, so do not parse it. Sandbox test restaurants answer `Ready in about 15 minutes`. See [GET /v1/orders/:id](https://developer.layout.link/reference/api#get-v1-orders-id).

## Breaking changes

None. The field is new, and the webhook payload is unchanged.
